This is Gil

He is about to have lunch in the office break room. Gil is a young manager. He has a degree, youth on his side but lacks experience. Half the time, he doesn't really know whats going on around him but he tries to look the part. From polishing his shoes everyday to piercing a 'Manager' badge into his scales, to stuffing his fin into his pants. He still doesn't really blend in though. Have you ever felt like a fish out of water?

This is the concept art process. I changed some things in the final model such as making the gills movable and the fins longer so that it would be easier to animate.

This is John. He is a tired and jaded working adult who has not been promoted in a while.

This is the topology before smoothing

This was the concept art process. I started out with some 2D sketches but developed the ideas further in 3D concept sculpts. The character rigs were done by Gelissa Loh.

This is their office break room. I took some inspiration from the 1950s.

Below are some other works which does not belong to the world of Gil and John

This is a fun fan art of Toothless from the film 'How to Train Your Dragon'. It was the first creature sculpt I did. Watching animated films was what inspired me to become a 3D Modeller.

Responsible for Concept, Model, Texture of buildings on screen left. I took inspiration from colonial buildings in Singapore, Cyberpunk and European architecture. Lebelle Tan did the buildings on screen right. Comping was by Didi Rohaidi.

I was responsible for the Hair and the Rigs. Her name is Zinnia, a character designed and modelled by Aurelia Ong and animated by Gelissa Loh. Comping was by Didi Rohaidi. She is a young but experienced vampire hunter.

Comments and Crit for all works are welcome :)
