Brandon Ng / A Rookie Experience

E.V.O

In the Year 2045, World War III erupted and the world fell to bombs and radiation.Humanity Having migrated underground, sought a solution to rehabilitate the surface world. After a betrayal that led to a halt in the rehabilitation project, a team of specialist was sent to the surface to recover a sample of ta vital serum.

E V O was a project i did in my year 3 in The One Academy, is was fun having the opportunity experience working together with 5 others member on one concept/ Story.

In the project i mainly work and handle the design on the antagonist of the story, side character and some of the interior and vehicle.

Key arts and Matte painting 

Is a good experience doing the key arts for project E V O, also able to know how the whole story go and how we adapt to the design progress. Some of the matte painting is not  related to the story, at the same time i also learned how to combine both 3d and 2d to create some amazing artwork.

ShangHaiLing

A Chinese office worker woke up finding himself in the afterlife right after he got in to an accident. Later found out that there is a way to get back to his body in the human world , Along the way he got some help from a Chinese creature that can help him fight off the evil spirit.

Lin the main character, having a big body size but very timid make the design progress a bit harder for me, since i need to find way to make him looks timid yet muscular at the same time.     

While designing Ling, the problem i face is that trying to design a Chinese creature Qilin that suppose to be big in size to a more cute and friendly and somehow still looks able to fight.
