Two characters that I was able to recently create.
Here are two characters that I was able to do this year. Hope you enjoy it!
ORC - based on NET EASE concept art.
I thought it was very important for me to do a character out of a concept art. It was challenging to do exactly what was in front of me but definitely sharpen my eyes in term of sculpting and get proportions right. I Also decided to choose this concept art to add some props and do more than just the body.
After getting to know the face anatomy, I wanted to get to know more the top part.
I learnt a lot about xgen and fibermesh to be able to do the fur and hair. I decided to start wit fibermesh and do multi polygroups to make it easier for shaping and placing the hair. Then import all of them in Maya to use xgen.
PRIEST
This project was really here to help me learn more about the anatomy of the head. I started my sculpt with the skull and built the muscles little by little. I struggled to get some right like the jaw muscles. I also received some feedback about the mouth being too close to the nose and was able to correct it.
I was able to use for the first time Marmoset Toolbag for my render. I wanted to finally create the best skin that I could.
