Blue Robot Lady
A blue, game ready character made in about 2 months.
This character was about a month and a half long project. I started it during my semester in Montreal, but halfway through the semester and the project the pandemic hit and I had to switch to remote work in the US. Despite that unexpected transition, I was able to keep working on this project. Even with the circumstances, I set a goal to finish it before the semester was over in order to stay true to the 'finished, not perfect' motto that has been drilled into my head since day one of college. Because of this, I got a feel for the whole process of making a game-ready character and have identified my own strengths and weaknesses as a result (and decided that I definitely want to do more of it!)
The low poly is about 60,000 tris, with 5 texture sets ( 1x1k, 2x2k, 2x4k). Blue Robot Lady is a game ready character, sculpted in Zbrush, retopologized in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, and rendered in Unreal Engine 4.
