Deep Sea
I started by sketching the mermaid's skeleton and the submarine rover. Before the mermaid i researched different approaches: An Alien ship ? An armored whale ? In the end I stayed with the skeleton idea because it makes you imagine what the creature looked like.

"95% of our oceans are unknown to us." For this challenge I choose to work on an ancient civilization of mermaids, living in the depth of the oceans long before us. I also played with scale. I like the scary idea of something huge and mysterious.
For the submarine vehicule I wanted something new. I first loved the idea of a deep sea motorcycle but i figured out it would have been practical for the pilot.
