A series of images depicting a modern nordic house with interiors made with 3ds max V-ray, illustrator and photoshop. I have included a moodboard, an overview of the floorplan and also a collection of reference images in the style of a moodboard. Enjoy!

Willa Nordic Interior 3d visualization

This is my most recent project, modelling and creating a realistic 3d interior and also first time attempt with the V-Ray renderer.

So I have included my sources for inspiration with a moodboard, an overview of the floorplan with suggestion of how this space can be furnished. I have also made an overview of my references for the furnitures I've modelled or taken inspiration from.  Enjoy!

Created with: 3ds studio Max, Illustrator, Photoshop, V-Ray.

With this moodboard I've been looking at different materials, soft pastel colours in combinations with darker grey materials and highlighting colors like gold, leather and black metal.

These are my references, the Colin armchair, Hans Wegner Y-chair.  I haven't been able to pinpoint the designer for the kitchen which I've loosely based mine of in the project. The Cross coffee table, chelsea marble dining table and the italian Lavello lvq034 sink. Some of the other things are good design which I've taken inspiration from when modelling my own version.

Living/Dining area. This house is built around this space so I wanted to make this a comfortable enviroment that focuses both on the aspect of coming together and socialising with creating a wonderful scene to view through the massive windows.  Its not entirely easy creating a believable natural light mid day, I got some help from the original HDRI which I really liked and created a "nordic" feel to the room. (Can be seen in the third image of the slide) Sadly it seemed to low of a resolution to be used.

Living/Dining area. I have completely fallen inlove with the rope-lamp in the center of the image which I've spent a lot of time modelling but making it realistic has been a difficult task in photoshop. Im not sure it is convincing but its one of those kill your darlings kind of thing but the image wouldnt have been the same without it.

Master bedroom. First attempt at making a bed (No really!) Fun but tricky only using the 3ds max cloth modifier. Has taken me quite a few attempts to get it right and have it stay in place. Also tricky to texturize with V-Ray materials as Iam more familiar with the Corona-renderer. I've been experimenting with different colors to "set the mood" but also make the image worth remembering.  Tricky things.

Master bedroom close-up 1. I wanted to show off this lamp I've made, very fun and easy to make except perhaps the seethrough lampshade with the V-ray materials and obviously the blue pillow as the texture there is a bit off. Had I created the UV-map before creating the pillow with cloth modifier I hopefully wouldnt have had this problem. But then again, look at the lamp!

Master bedroom close-up 2. I have not modelled the flowers, a 3dsky modell I've imported to enhance the scene with some greenery.  I wanted to show of this metal-piece with the meeting faces as I like creating these kinds of pieces. Im also very happy with how the texture and shine comes through in the wood of this sidetable. I wish I could have brought out the same in the marble stone.

So hope you enjoyed this walk-through and stay tuned to my progress :)
