Reuben Lane - Concept Art (Environments)
Hey! This has been my journey as I voyage to explore different worlds, bringing me up to now! Here is some of the works I have produced to try and break my way into the industry!
Mountain Mosque
This piece of the mountain mosque was inspired by some buddhist temple I saw on the side of mountain. Attached with it is some mood variations I made, the sketches attached and alternative renders. The process went: ref gathering - sketches - 3dcoat - octane - paintover.

Lady of the Lake
This was an entry for the artstation King Arthur challenge. Im very proud of it as I felt it went very well and also being portrait is a nice change! The idea here is that the lady of the lake isnt a living being but instead a mechanical structure that comes out of the ground!

Sketch sheet
Here is some black and white sketch practice. I like to explore any subject matter relating to environments!
Dragon Valley
This was done following a Johnathon Berube tutorial. I also thought I could try adding a creature to it and trying to sculpt one for the first time!l
Underground ruins
I played with the idea of having ruins/castle/catherdral understand, and then ended up making 2 contrasting colour tone finals which was great fun! Here you can see the finals, BW sketches and then one of the sketches coloured in for a mood.

THU Golden Ticket Winner!
So this is an important one to my journey! As I was finishing I enetered the Artstation THU Golden Ticket Challenge. The Challenge was tasking us to imagine a desirable future. Here I tried to combine technology of the future with shapes from nature, thusly creating solar flowers. I won the student category, was flown to THU and also given an internship at Daimler which I am doing now! In this entry you will find some final scenes, mood sketches, vehicle sketches (which was a first) and structure variation!

Windmill Wars
A personal project where I wanted to A) try more interiors and B)try line art. Well, I think the interior went quite good. I see now sclae and certain deisgn doesnt work for me but the mood is nice. The line was a collosal failure, so I made it in 3d and lined over. I think I work in 3d alot better and quicker, so I havent looked back since.
