Louis Stelfox - 3D Environment Artist - 2020
These are a collection of environment art projects I've been working on with my time at the University of Hertfordshire! Hope you enjoy! Link to my other work: https://www.artstation.com/louisstelfox
City Of Connacates - UE4
Made in my second year at the University of Hertfordshire and made it to the draft stage of Game of the Year in 2019! I was lucky enough to work with a talented 5 person team, where we worked from January to May to produce a trailer for our hypothetical game idea, called Rowan. I was primarily responsible for creating the architecture of the city, along with procedural material creation and lighting. The full trailer can be found here: https://vimeo.com/338265079
Mission To Mars - UE4
Created to practise handling directional lighting in UE4 and hard surface modelling. Credit to Solar System Scope for the Mars texture! Can be found here: https://www.solarsystemscope.com/textures/
Fruit Cart - UE4
Done as part of a successful art test with a turnaround of 2 weeks. The tri count was 2500 for the wooden components and 5000 for the baskets and fruit, with a limit of two texture sets for the prop.
Material Studies - Substance Designer
These are a set of material studies done with a focus on rocky surfaces. Rendered with Marmoset Toolbag
Lonely Dock Market - UE4
Based off a concept created by Eugene Je. (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/O9ze6) I decided to take this further and practise my organic skills on the side with the additional rock formations and trees.
Painted Logs - Photogrammetry
My first attempt at photogrammetry! Found some logs by my local airfield so I took a 360 scan of them and processed them through AliceVision's Meshroom. I tidied up the scans in Zbrush and took it into Substance Painter for image treatment.
Kingsman Tailor Shop - UE4
A small environment aiming to capture the look and of the tailor shop that features in the Kingsman movie (H. Huntsman & Sons) based off additional concept art by the talented Alexander Light (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/wDoaV).
