01. Brain Machine

A brain machine that embodies the non-stop process of brainstorming. 

Brief:  Make a mini animation with simple animations and cloners. Learn to improve on camera movement.

As I was brainstorming for this assignment, many different ideas came to mind but were quickly scrapped. Then, I had the eureka moment — why not create an animation of a brainstorming session and how ideas always get rejected? That's the story of how the Brain Machine was born, and has been churning ideas and scrapping them ever since. 

I decided to go with a Sci-Fi theme for this one as I thought it would match how the brain of a creative is always working like a machine. (-:

02. Secret Sanctuary

Brief: Create a looping animation with any letter in the Alphabet, as part of 36 Days of Type.

I've always been interested in mythology, so this was a perfect time for me to create something related to it. When I looked at the letter "Q", I thought about how it could be a secret portal that opens up. That's how this piece came to be, a secret, sacred place for a befitting goddess. I chose to make the material of my objects more matte so as to go along with my 2D graphics better.

03. Concert Promo

Brief: To create a typography-based video to promote a chosen band's concert, or album launch.

I decided to go with a scribbly and raw look for this assignment, it was fun trying out different transitions and layouts.
