Fantasy Crypt Atmosphere
This is my lighting study in Unreal Engine 4.22 about creating a Dark Souls inspired lighting and atmosphere. Apart from Dark Souls, I drew inspiration from Game of Thrones' Crypt of Winterfell for overall look and feel. Also I created some new materials for the environment using Substance Alchemist.
This study is focused on lighting, mood and atmosphere. Infuse Studio's Medieval Dungeon asset pack was used for the environment. All lighting, post-processing, color grading and related modifications, such as material modifications, made by me.
I used Maya to slightly modify some assets in places where I required to make them fit to the overall theme.
I used Unreal Engine 4 as the game engine, Maya for mesh tweaks, Photoshop for color grading, LUT creation and material tweaks for the materials and Substance Alchemist for creation of new materials
Apart from Dark Souls, I drew inspiration from Game of Thrones' Crypt of Winterfell for overall look and feel.
