                  - Dancing Robots -

integration of CGI in real life footage that was shot in the station of Kortrijk.

In Maya, I began by creating a layout where I modeled the environment and added the robots. To enhance the scene's realism, I incorporated a sky light, adjusting its settings to achieve natural lighting. Once satisfied with the lighting, I employed camera projection techniques to project the environment onto the robots, creating convincing reflections.

To capture the various elements separately, I rendered the scene with AOV passes, enabling me to isolate specific components such as reflections, shadows, and lighting.

Moving to the compositing stage, I imported both the footage and CGI into DaVinci Resolve, a professional compositing software. Utilizing the AOV passes generated in Maya, I skillfully composited the CGI onto the footage, fine-tuning colors and blending modes to seamlessly integrate the elements.

Throughout the process, I ensured that the composition aligned with the lighting and perspective of the live-action footage, achieving a cohesive and visually compelling result.

Finally, I rendered the final composite, capturing the combined elements in a high-quality output suitable for further post-production or distribution.
