Welcome to a fun yet professional documentation of my 2D Digital Art journey so far! (Post college) I really want to get more into animation, but that doesn’t mean I won’t fire out the odd sketch every so often. Come, stay a while. MY 2D ROOKIES JOURNEY
(2021 - 2023)
In this video I created, I go over the various challenges, styles, and lessons I faced in my 2D Digital Art journey.
After I left college in 2019, I wanted to continue to teach myself concept art, and storyboarding through a digital medium.
I purchased the photoshop package and started by drawing characters from shows I enjoyed such as DreamWorks’ She-Ra and demons like those from Helluva Boss

I set up an Instagram page where I could post any progress I made to keep track of where I needed to improve and what my strengths were.
I even posted breakdowns of some more detailed pieces I finished.

While I do like to work REALLY hard on one big project and see it through, every once in a while I also enjoy tiny doodles and sketches to keep the mind going and the followers happy.
To help with this, I developed a simple and repeatable art style that saves time while also looking very solid.

I have also dipped my metaphorical toes into the big-boy pool that is 2D animation by using a free trial of Adobe animate. While my skills are currently very limited, I can’t wait to keep learning!
