Ultor: Goddess of Peace Statue

A statue model made for the real-time games trailer for Ultor, a final year student film at the University of Hertfordshire. I was brought on as a freelance graduate to create the concept and model for the goddess that represents Peace and Ice/Snow. Due to being in UE5 and the size of the prop in the scene, I was allowed to go much higher in poly count then I've gone before for similar statue props - all retopology was done from scratch. The texturing style was done in a way to mimic the models already in the project, so that mine would not stand out from them. This project was my first time using Marvellous Designer, I used the marvellous clothing as a base and then sculpted onto it to make the pleats and creases fall exactly how I wanted.

The images in the Unreal game scene were not created by me as only the statue is mine, everything else was created by the Ultor team.

Ultor: Goddess of Peace Concept

For the concept work I only had a few parameters, that they wanted a woman with a curvier body, it was a Greco-fantasy piece and that she was to be related to the concepts of peace and the cold. I was drawn towards giving her armour as a "fighter for peace" and gave her more layers than the other Gods, but strayed from heavy materials like furs as the concepts stopped invoking ancient Greece. I used motifs of mistletoe throughout as it's related to peace and winter - and the final concepts include stylised mistletoe and snowflakes throughout the embroidery and metal. A full colour piece was created as a guide for the tarot cards used in the game, despite not having that much detail in the actual statue.

Stylised Crow Character

This stylised, games character model is based off of a concept I created in 2019. This was a challenge for myself to create a stylised character in only a few hours. He still needs work on his texturing and I plan to rig and animate him but I really like where he is so far. Things to correct later are the UVs, as he is currently Auto-UV'd which wastes a lot of texture space, and adding more detail to the sculpt, including things like scales on his legs.
