Cambradin
Graduation film reinterpreting Faust's myth, according to a legend from a small village of Savoie, France (Bessans).
Cambradin is the protagonist.
He was designed as a sculpture, with sharp shapes. During the film, he becomes famous and rich, so he has multiple looks. He represents a very academic vision of art.
Mephistophéles, is the antagonist.
He is a Faustian Devil, who makes a pact with Cambradin. He represents the dark sides of Cambradin, but also a more creative vision of art.
The creatures fighting at the end of the movie represents the character's vision of art. While the Cambradin's one look more like a Greek Statue, the one created by Mephistophéles are polymorphic and more hideous.
The environnements are greatly inspired by French Comics, with a fat black line. They represents the mental space of Cambradin during the movie.
The film is sequenced in different color ambiances. It shows the mood of the protagonists.
