School Work

Hello everyone, This is a selection of school projects and personal work made during my second year at ArtSide. I had a lot of fun learning new ways to do the stuff I love ! I hope you like them !

Dagger

This project was made in two weeks under the supervision of Jules Caron , the first one was focusing on making a high and low poly of the daggers from Baldi Konijn's concepts for Ruined king. This part was done on Blender and no sculpt was involved in the process.

The second week focus was on the baking pipeline and making hand painted textures with Substance painter.

This introduction on Handpaint texture was really new and exciting for me.

Violin

Concept by Veerle Zandstra.

This project's objective was to first familiarize ourselves on the blender to Zbrush workflow and in a the second part doing the Handpainted texture in Substance painter.

That was the first time using Zbrush for a props for me, it made me learn a lot of things about the workflow and the pitfall of the software

The textures were a mix of procedural in Pbr and handpaint.

Forge

This was a trimestrial project made in 4 weeks in Blender with a basic material using the concept made by JIE.L., "Smithy".

This made me learn a lot about handling a project with a higher number of pieces that I'm used to.

The render was made in Blender using Cycle

Alchemist Room

Concept made by Vadim Zaitsev

This project regrouped the all the different pipelines done before on other projects.

We had two weeks to go through the whole process of blocking and instanciation, High poly in Zbrush, Retopology in Blender, Baking using Marmoset, mixing Pbr and Handpaint textures in Substance painter and rendering in Marmoset and blender.

This was a stressful project with a lot of challenges. I learned a lot about fluidifying my workflow and switching between a lot of softwares efficiently.

Stone Ruin

This Was a little project made in two days where they we were asked to redo the concept of Sophie Rose Stübinger Using Zbrush. The blockout and the render was made in blender.

Slayer

This project was done in two weeks under the supervision of Jules Caron, I chose the concept of The Slayer by Alexander Skripnikov.

This was my first time doing a full character from head to toe, we already had some experience doing characters in traditional clay.

I used a Mix of blockout in blender and the Zmodeler in zbrush to do the armor’s pieces, weapon and the fabric parts

This was a really fun project that made me learn a lot about Zbrush and the ways to interpret 2D concepts.

Personal project

This is a mix of personal projects that are both finished and wips that need to be finished.

Ana Rifle Overwatch

This was a good exercise of modeling in High poly using a non-destructive modifier in blender. This was made in 4 days of work.

Tavern Wip

For this project I used a concept made by FengZhu, it is still a wip but with the new tech I learned throughout the year it’s going to be a really fun project to do.

Conclusion

Thanks a lot for looking at my entry, I hope you like the work I have done throughout the year !

I still have a lot to learn but the journey to become a 3D Environment artist is really fun and fulfilling so far !

Big thanks to the teachers at Artside, without their review and critics I would not have learned and evolved so much, Thanks a lot !
