BERTHOUX Olivier's portfolio
Hi dear future followers, my name is Olivier, I'm 21, french and a young concept artist, I want to thank you all for seeing my entry to the Rookies this year, I truly hope you'll like my work !
Here's my portfolio ! It will be divide into three grand parts : The "Gwiden's Inn" project, the "Lost Continent" project, the "Monster Hunter" project and a bonus if you scroll entirely :)
You'll see I'm more into environment design, props design and creature design.
Gwiden's inn
Here is my first project, the "Gwiden's Inn" !
This project was a school work I did and rework this year, for this project I had to create an little Inn for a RPG video game.
This little inn can be found in the middle of a forest and can be used as a checkpoint, the player can sleep into it and recover all of his energy, buy some artefacts and continue his journey in great shape :)
Lost Continent
For the "Lost Continent" project, I had to create some visuals (environments, props and creatures) for a movie that takes place in a post apocalyptic world with a hero trying to survive in a big lost city, he will find some coordinates that'll lead him to a big radio tower field and a massive sphere lost in the desert. He will also have to face dangerous creatures...
He'll have to find out what is the cause of the abandonment of this world.
I also decided to create his equipment (walkie-talkie, backpack and weapon to defend him againt monstruous creatures).
Monster Hunter
Here's the Monster Hunter project, a video game license where the player must hunt some monsters.
(It was a school project, I had to understand the universe of the series and present it into a travelogue)
I created a dragon from this universe and I named it "Tchatlaloc" !
Here is its anatomy, bones, muscles, poses, weaknesses, its environment and the weapon to kill it.
Studies
To finish, here are some environments studies I did this month (may 2023) !
It helped me so much to understand how to use my brushes, the lights/shadows etc... with a time constraint (between 10 and 30 minutes each).
I encourage every artist to do it, what's 10 minutes in a day ? :p
Thank you so much to all of you for coming down here !
I truly hope you all liked my work, also, do not hesitate to give me a high-five ^^)
