Ward Vervoort - School work 2022-2023
I am an aspiring technical artist currently in my first year of enrollment in the Game Graphics Production course in the school of Digital Arts and Entertainment. This is the work that I am most proud of so far.
Procedural fishing vessel
My most relevant work to date is one I recently finished for my first procedural course. As an introduction we had to create a boat using only procedural techniques inside houdini. I look forward to learning more advanced procedural techniques in my second year!
Forest scene diorama
In the first semester I created this diorama as an assigment for our introductory course on 3D modeling. Only color textures and basic lighting techniques were used as it was part of the assignment.
High poly coffee machine
In the second semester we started to work with subdivision techniques. As a first assignment we had to make a retro kitchen appliance.
Stylized weapon and plane
We also had courses on producing stylized assets. The following works are made with handpainted textures. I mostly had fun bringing them to life with some animations and simple effects.
Tower concept art
Finally we also had courses on concept art or preproduction. For this assignment we had to draw a tower, with the focus being on the entire process; from concept composition sketches to the final result.
