A few of my best works

Round of applause for our sponsors

Here are some of my best projects. Enjoy!

It’s the 1980’s in an alternate universe where humanity has fallen to ruin. The survivors of this apocalypse seek refuge in spaceships and are roaming the Orion Arm, scrambling for survival. In this hostile world, pirates swindle and plunder to survive, stealing from both human and alien spaceships...

This is a series of graphic designs I made in Illustrator to be decals for my 3D models. This was my process...

To capture the mix between a retro yet sci-fi feel in my designs, I used both 80s inspired and futuristic fonts. I also took inspiration from signage styles and colours from the 80s. I designed logos for a sci-fi technology company called Mars Corp as well as signage for a spaceship that exists in this world.

I took care to perfect the company logo as it would influence the style of other logos.

This was my first ever Blender project: a cryogenic crate. This was my process...

I first used Photoshop to explore designs for my sci-fi crate. I wanted the crate to have a retro feel, so I utilized a design language of curves and intricate bevelling.

I decided on my second design and then explored colour schemes. I decided on using a bright red for the accent colour, and light and dark grey for the rest of the crate. I put my drawings on top of the default cube in Blender to visualise my design in 3D.

This is the base sculpt of my crate. As this was my first time using Blender, it was a challenge to get my head around the program and find solutions to problems. Probably the most difficult part of this sculpt was the handles because they required a live Boolean modifier to achieve the ridges. I'm so glad I figured out how to do this though, because the handles are now also my favourite part. I thoroughly enjoyed this stage of the project.

As I was unsure where to start with texturing my crate, I used a pre-made metal texture from BlenderKit and edited it to my liking. As you can see, it took a few tries to get the crate looking how I wanted it, but I am very happy with the end result.

This is a spaceship corridor that I made in Blender. This was my process...

A sketch before I modelled in Blender.

I designed a creature bust for my first Zbrush project. This large creature lives at the bottom of the Bermuda Triangle and uses its huge mouth to suck in ships that pass by. He is inspired by angler fish and sea lions. This was my process...

I used photoshop to explore designs for my creature. I used many references, but I was mostly inspired by sea lions and angler fish.

I then sculpted my bust in Zbrush and edited it in Photoshop. You can see here the Zbrush render before and after editing. As this was my first time in Zbrush, it took a while to learn the program and a lot of trial and error with the design, but I am so happy with the final image.

This is a character design I made. This character is a fairy who lives in a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland. This was my process...

I first explored what type of character I wanted to make. I sketched options tank, ranger and specialist characters. I designed their clothes to look like they are made of fabric scraps and junk as they are fighting to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.

I decided to continue developing this particular design. Here I tried out different clothing and got a feel for the character.

I then made the final outline for my drawing and explored colour. Image B worked the best so I took its colours and completed my final drawing.

Thank you very much for looking at my submission!
