Texturing & Modelling Work - Aryya Dey || Rookie Awards 2023
Hello I'm Aryya Dey. This is my entry for The Rookie Award 2023. I want to move towards game art and real time. I love to do mecha, real-time character and creature models and texture them.
1. RIG B
Rig B is an amazing production quality robot provided by The Rookies and Autodesk for their RIG B challenge. This challenge contains three category FX, ANIMATION & TEXTURING.
I participate in the texturing category, Where I became finalist. So I share my project HAWKEYE RIG B to show my texturing ability.

I have a breakdown of all my work below. First I started with my all final renders. For This renders I create a setup with basic 3 point lighting . I used a black camo texture along with red, iron, glass and emission material. for texturing I used Substance 3D Painter. for rendering I used Unreal Engine 5 .this all renders res is HD. my pc doesn't support 4k. for posing I used Autodesk MAYA.

This is a low poly model. so I completely do a low poly work. I add some height details on it ,then I export the normal map as a texture ,then I import it again and bake the world space Normal , AO and Curvature. then I started my texturing process. most of the texturing I do with procedural technique but some areas I hand paint it. I didn't used rust so much , basically I'm using dust and edgewears for my subtle details.

2. HELIX & ALICE
Two friends who complement each other. And they have emotions too. They are from future and driven by magnetic energy.
I have taken the help of 4 software to complete this task. Maya, Substance 3D Painter, Unreal Engine 5 & Photoshop. The whole work is therefore made from my imagination, and I am happy that I was able to make it almost exactly as I wanted.
I have imagined two scenes for this task. Below are the render images of all those scenes.
'WOW' what is that? : Scene 1
On a shiny day In the future they were very surprised after seeing this place surrounded by greenery. They were even more surprised when they saw a mysterious creature. 'WOW' what is that? -Alice had no data about it. They are surprised and excited to see such a creature. They are stunned actually. that is actually a dragonfly. we know but they don't.
Enjoying a swing : Scene 2
Alice and Helix have fillings in them even though they are robots. They enjoyed this swing ride very much on a cool day. Tried to bring up the behavior of a cute kid robot in my renders. they are enjoying a lot.

3. AN AVATAR
A bust sculpting of An Avatar. For this task I use Zbrush, Substance 3D Painter, Maya.
I didn't manually retopologies it. This is done by zremesher.

4. ANCIENT FORTUNE TELLER
For this task I tried to make two types of textures in one model. One is Ancient Fortune Teller and the other is Photorealistic Cornea and Hand.
For this work i use Maya, Substance 3D painter, Zbrush, Substance 3D Stagger and Photoshop. for the plant i use simple Maya paint effects brush.
for the fur in hand i use Maya xgen.

5. Chameleon & His Friend
This work is my first zbrush sculpt. Texture of this work turnout very good and vibrant. so i decided to keep this work in my portfolio for showing my texturing ability.
