Casa Valencia.
The reason for this project has been to unite two opposing styles: the classic look of the architectural elementes, inhabited by furniture and accessories of contemporary influence. All this while maintaining an elegant ambiance and cozy feeling.
Casa Valencia
Reinhabiting the classic with a taste of new things.
The Mediterranean and specifically the Levantine coast have an important relevance in this project. The light as one of the main characters to recreate these environments that make me to think of the painter Joaquin Sorolla.
The most important challenge was to recreate this mosaic floor, typical of the Spanish peninsular east, more specifically of Valencia and Barcelona. The Nolla Mosaic dates from the mid-19th century, and consists of small geometrically shaped tiles of stoneware, which together form complex compositions. It is a recovered floor, so it must have had that aspect of the passage of time and use, which I achieved with a lot of research into the material and modeling of the floor.
Design furniture is another of the characters in this story. One of the designers and artist who inspired me the most for this project is Jaime Hayon. In these images we can see some of his designs, such as the Expormim chairs, the Analog table by Fritz Hansen and the Formakami FH4 lamp by &Tradicion.
Project carried out in the master's degree in Architectural Visualization and Virtual Reality at Voxel Shool.
