Also called “gargoyle” or “Diaspre’s goblin”, the hujeler is a demonic creature of the tormentor family. It can be recognized by its horns, its mocking smile and its amazing plumage. The population is estimated at 130 individuals and lives at Diaspre, the Small Town, and its surroundings — especially in the Crownshade forest.

They travel in groups of two or three and enjoy harassing visitors who stray into Diaspre. They have a special bond with the celebrated maester Artifice, whom they respect for some secret reason. No one knows where they came from, but it is rumored that they were already here at the time of the mythical Archward.
