Delhorme Tanguy - Concept art 2023

Hello everyone! Here is a compilation of work done this year at "Bellecour école" school, as well as personal work.

Concept art of a marine warrior. Mainly inspired by shellfish and crustaceans. The objective I had set myself here was to have a line as clean as possible.

Here are two chara design with a transformation. The concept is for a shooter video game. When the player does not have much life left, he can use a power that transforms him and makes him invincible for a short time. To create these characters and the transformation I was inspired by the hierarchy of angels. As well as all the representations of angels in traditional painting. Here, the transformation is also done by color: going from blue, well purple to red. the same goes for gold, which turns white.

Here is a graphic style school project. The goal was to create a landscape in the style of Sparth. It was really enriching to study his process, his way of using the brushes... This is an opportunity to tell you about my approach. I started by doing lots of black and white compositions. I picked the best ones and made variations. Still with the idea of producing an image in the style of Sparth, I had to mix very geometric shapes with the organic side of nature. I then carried out color tests. Then I did some quick sketches to redefine the shapes of the buildings. Finally, I had the painting to do! I hope you enjoy!

Here is a visual storytelling school project! The goal was to show that a bad magician or wizard lives here: he tried to grow his pumpkins but without concentration, he shrank! I'll let you wander through the image because lots of clues are hidden there!

Interior Concept Art: The Inventor's House. He is the inventor of the motorcycle in this universe. He will devote his whole life to it. He continues to work even after his terrible accident: while trying to develop the helmet, he creates a catapult to test it... It was not a success...

Here is my very first image made from a 3d base! We had to create a dystopia inspired by our city, so I made a post-apocalyptic scene in a subway. The image isn't perfect, but I'm quite happy with the result for the first time with blender! i hope you like it.

Research for a character. I found it interesting to show it here, because it summarizes well my way of doing my research/sketches, for character design.
