Mononoke and Molo

Hello ! Here is one of my favorite shot from the Ghibli movie "Princess Mononoke". In this scene, San is saying goodbye to her mother firgure, a giant wolf.

I absolutely love the contrast between that giant creature and San who seems so fragile next to her . I wanted to recreate that cool contrast and the intimacy of the shot. 

The pose and the composition are the same but I added the leaves to emphasize the emotion.

I am really interested in the process of grooming, and recreating this shot was perfect since most of the image is fur. It was a great opportunnity to practice Xgen!
