BEFORE SCHOOL

Hi! Do you remember that personal room of the protagonist of your favorite videogame or the special place of that movie that you always remember? We have all felt something similar at some point in our lives. Whether in one place or another, in one way or another, the vast majority of us have had that place where we feel at home. That place where you can be yourself.

This is what Before School is based on. Wake up, jump out of bed, spend time on your hobby and run out of the house leaving everything messy.

DAY - NIGHT

WORKFLOW

I always like to have a clear order of the process: blocking -> more detail of large objects -> configuration of lights and cameras -> materials -> more detail of small objects -> texturing -> final configuration of lights and cameras -> render - > composition.

From something general to something specific.

Halfway through this process:

When the final path is clear to me, then I start texturing and make the final touches in terms of lighting and cameras:

I always like to test render non-main objects and see if they might work better or worse:

The last step of this whole process has been to export the different maps of each render and create the final composition, the result that you have seen above.

I consider the creation of dioramas as an extra step that depending on the situation can be very interesting to do:

SHADED - WIREFRAME

The programs used from start to finish have been:

3DS MAXthe greatest workload falls on this program. Modeling, lightning, texturing and rendering with Arnold.

MARVELOUS DESIGNER: certain details such as the cushions or the duvet on the bed.

ADOBE SUBSTANCE PAINTER: radio texture.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP: final composition.
