Dulce

Dulce is a short 3D animated film that explores the loving relationship between mother and daughter while balancing the heavy concept of death.
The film was created by Aleyda Ortiz, Lok Cheang, and Kevin Class.

El corto fue creado por Aleyda Ortiz, Lok Cheang y Kevin Class.

Synopsis

A mother and daughter decide to take a break on the field.
The daughter, Aurora, wakes up from her nap, contemplating a question.
Curiosity gets the best of her and she blurts out to her mother "What is Death?"
Her mother is surprised at first,
however, she goes on to explain what and who death is.

Una madre y su hija deciden tomarse un descanso en un campo.
La hija, Aurora, se despierta de su siesta, contemplando una pregunta.
La curiosidad le gana a la niña, y le dice a su madre "¿Qué es la Muerte?"
Su madre se sorprende pero empieza a explícale qué y quién es la Muerte.

The first setting is a field of grass that resembles a sea of gold.
The Chihuahua Mountains can be seen in the distance and the sky is bright blue.

El primer escenario es un campo de zacate que se asemeja a un mar de oro. Las montañas de Chihuahua se pueden ver en la distancia y el cielo es un azul brillante.

A second setting is El Otro Lado, which is the world between the living and the dead.

El segundo escenario es El Otro Lado, que es el mundo entre los vivos y los muertos.
