Synapsis:
Luna, a puppy with noise phobia moves apprehensively throughout her own home. New to life, she is afraid of many things, loud noises being one. Taking a step to overcome this, she takes a step out of her safe place.
The First Step...
Background around concept
Noise phobia is a more common phobia in dogs than you would think. Bulldogs are typically stereotyped as aggressive and scary animals as adults. Contrasting that fact, my film brings to light that all living things have natural instinctual fears at some point in their life, especially when young. To emphasise this aspect, the environment is abstracted, exaggerated, as though it is an extreme view of the puppy’s perspective.
