Harley Quinn | Sara Maragna
Hi there! My name is Sara, i graduated in 3D modeling and animation last year and here is my entry for this year's Rookies contest art award. Hope you like it and good luck to all the amazing artists participating, i'm so exited to be a part of this community!
This is a fan art i made, during my study period in Side Academy, for one of the most iconic female villains in the DC world, the crazy and stunning Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie into the movie "Suicide Squad". I really love this character, she is strong, beautifull and totally mad. I had fun doing her, especially the part of sculpting the expression, it was not that easy but the more i studied and tried to make it the more i felt the essence of the character, as if she was talking to me or, raether, laughting before preparing for the fight.
The programs I used are basically ZBrush for the sculpt of the main shapes, Substance Painter for texturing, Maya for retopology, grooming and lighting and Vray Next for rendering.
