Hello there, traveler !
I'm very honoured to take part in The Rookies Awards contest this year.
My entry is a mix of my work done at Artside Game Art School this year, and my personal projects which show a more individual side of my work.
I hope you will enjoy my entry !
THE SHEPHERD
This is a one week project done at Artside with the help and feedback from Félix Donadio. It was very exciting to work on this and I'm quite happy with how this turned out.
OCEANIC FANTASY
Another project done at Artside ! It was made during a class with Paradis Sok. Thanks to him for his precious feedback as always ! The assignment was to design a fisherman and a shaman from a tribe inspired by Oceanic/Polynesian culture. It was very fun.
IMPERIAL RIDER NEOPHRON PERCNOPTERUS
The Percnopterus is my favourite bird ever. I turned it into a Imperial cavalier ! This was made during a class at Artside with our great mentor Anaïs Lehoux. The week was awesome and I had a lot of fun creating this bird baby!
VFX DESIGN
These are from a one week class at Artside, with our mentor Leandre Teko. It was my first time doing VFX and I learnt a lot thanks to his precious help and feedbacks !
ENVIRONMENT PAINTING
This environment was made during a class by the great Naïm Bonnot. He taught us about composition, colour theory and painting rendering and I learnt so much thanks to his precious knowledge and feedbacks!
The theme was to paint medieval castle ruins in a sunny bright afternoon, I loved it!
THE PASSENGER
This is part of a long-term personal project I've been developing for the last two years and a half. There's just too many things I want to explore in this big universe !
BALDORS BÄKEREI
Personnal project on my free time to practice cartoony environment style.I was highly inspired by Zedig's artstyle and designs. I had a lot of fun creating this diorama
ENVIRONMENT PAINTING
Another environment practice on free time !
I was very inspired by Japanese woodblock prints.
PEOPLE OF THE FOREST
I had the idea to create a tribe which have been settled in the forest for thousand of years, and lives in perfect harmony with its environment. Those ladies are two of the characters I designed for this personnal project.
CREATURES
This was made at Artside School with the great help of the awesome Jeanne Plounevez. Her class taught us a lot about creature design and animal anatomy and I'm very grateful to have had the chance to learn from her.
During this week I tried to take design elements from my personnal project People of the Forest, as I had just completed the two characters from above right before Jeanne's class!
ARTSTATION CHALLENGE - MEDIEVAL: BACK AND FORTH
It was a pleasure to take part in the Artstation Challenge this year. It was the first time participating in such challenge, and, as the name says it, it was very challenging! I learnt a lot about my process, and design theory. I feel like I improved a lot during those four intense weeks. Thanks again to Jeanne Plounevez for her help, I wouldn't have been able to complete it (in time) without her great advice.
