Eggsterminated!

A fun couch-pvp game created in Unity by 5 students for the course Game Projects at Howest DAE.

Art done by:  Evy WestelinckEveline Van Der Schrier,  Denica Stoyanova.

Programming done by: Jan Supierz, Bram Vernimmen.

The Goal:

The goal of our game is really simple!

Create as much chaos as possible! This while also keeping the artstyle consistent and goofy.

Being a couch-pvp game, you will be playing this with 2 - 4 players. And there is no better way to create fun then just killing each other over and over again during utter chaos!

The game is ment to be fast paced, and this is easily achieved by the movement of the players  and the big Foot that just drops from the sky, crushing everything in its path.

The Journey:

For this course we had 12 weeks to finish this game. The goal of the course is to simulate a real life Studio and go through all phases of a game in development.

Per week we each had about 10 hours to work on the game, since we had to balance it with other courses.

Our weeks looked as follows:

Week 0: Brainstorming - getting the idea of the game

Week 1: Research - figure out how certain things work that we need

Week 2 - 3: Prototyping - get a baseline of what the game will feel like and if it would be fun

Week 4 - 6: Sprint 1 - the first major production sprint; starting from scratch

Week 7 - 9: Sprint 2 - finishing up all gameplay features

Week 10 - 11: Polish Sprint - there is a Feature Freeze so we're not allowed to add any new features.

Every week has been documented via devlog, which can be found on the Itch.io page! Make sure to give it a good read to understand the process we went through.
