Demon's Heir
Demon's Heir is a PS1-era inspired 3D platformer meant to seamlessly combine buttery-smooth movement with quick and responsive combat. This game was created by me from scratch. This demo won Runner Up in the Academy of Art University's Spring Show in the Game Mechanics category.
Demon's Heir is a PS1-era inspired 3D platformer meant to seamlessly combine buttery-smooth movement with quick and responsive combat. This game was made by me alone from scratch -- the 3D models, animations, texturing, programming, level design, and mechanics were designed by me. This was a school project that was submitted for the Academy of Art University's Spring Show, and won Runner Up in the Game Mechanics category. Lots of feedback was taken from my class and teacher to make it into what it is now, over the ~3 month development time.
The game's demo is playable (and downloadable) here: https://vecderg.itch.io/demons-heir-3d
(Some audio was taken from Zapsplat, and the game's camera used Unity's built-in Cinemachine camera. Otherwise, the game can be considered made by me from scratch)
