"Blacksad" Fan Character

One of my projects this year was to design a character that would fit with the Blacksad comic universe.

He is a police officer and is based on the chihuahua breed.

I've also done an animatic imagining what kind of sideplot this character would have in this universe. 

Matte Painting

I've designed and drawn a matte painting of a desert, in midst of which a lonesome traveller finds a giant bison skeleton. 

Some preproduction sketches I've done to figure out the composition and colors of the piece. 

I've also done an animated version of this environment using Nuke.
