Santo Queer - MotorDog Collection

The Santo Queer project is a virtual fashion brand created for personal study in the 3D field and for portfolio creation. Santo Queer is a project that celebrates the pride of being who you are, regardless of what is considered "right" or "wrong" by society. It is a way to show that we should all embrace our individuality. It is a declaration of love and empowerment for the queer community.

The first collection is titled "Motor Dog", which is about being vulnerable and strong at the same time. It is a ready-to-wear collection that balances creativity with practicality through the mix of influences ranging from extreme sports (mainly motocross) with the rebellious touch of punk spirit. All of this, combined with tailoring in dark tones, brings a little more elegance and sophistication to the clothes.

One of the important aspects of the collection is the use of the dog figure used in prints. The dog here will allude to the feeling many times hidden from queer people: love. It represents in itself the pain of that lost love and the fierceness and resistance that experience can bring. Therefore, it contrasts with the clothes and accessories of the collection that can be interpreted as an emotional armor, a form of protection of this animal that inhabits our interior.

It is important to note, however, that the vulnerability of the collection is not passive, but a force in itself, capable of inspiring struggle and transformation. The dog is loose and ready to bite.

This is the first time I'm creating a collection. Prior to using CLO3D and Marvelous Designer software, I had never worked in fashion. I started out of curiosity and for fun, and to this day, I remain as passionate as I was in the beginning. It has been 8 months since I started studying digital fashion on my own, solely relying on free tutorials available on the internet. I'm extremely pleased with the results I have achieved in this project, as I have dedicated many hours and love to it. My goal is to enter this field and build a career as a digital fashion professional. This contest represents an important step towards the path I am pursuing.
