Sake House of Kanazawa - 金沢の居酒屋
With this Sake House, I wanted to create an efficient modular kit to create houses inspired by Ghost of Tsushima. See the full post on my Art Station: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/OGGAQ6
I set up a vertex paint material with normal depth and added some parameters to adjust the vertex paint.
The normal depth was with help from a material function, UE4 Transition Blend - Material Functions by Kyle Steward.
These were my main references for this project. I did a paint over for my house reference as well as a break down for modularity.
I did a very rough paint over for my scene to see what I wanted to do with the composition.
Everything is this project has been made by me aside from some Quixel textures for the ground and bamboo. I also used some rocks from the Quixel library. The fog is from the Easy Fog plugin and I'm only using the rain from the Ultra Dynamic Sky plugin.
Special thanks to:
Thomas Koenders - for helping me out with the vertex painting
Ties de Groot - For making my lanterns swing
Peter van Dranen - My teacher, he's given me support and feedback throughout the project.
