Henri Gatard - 3D Character Artist / Generalist Portfolio 2023

After seeing the amazing Super Mario Movie, I really wanted to see Waluigi but he doesn't appears in the movie so I decided to tried to do the character in 3D, and to be close to the Illumination style.

 In this project I wanted create Waluigi as an animation ready character with a real modeling for animation work

In this project I tried to create my first 3D animation ready character. And I choose to remake a character  I've done back in 2020 for a school project. I did a little redesign before to start.

Little project of 2 days for try to push myself to be more quicker in my work and see what I can do with as little time as possible. So I take a little sketch of a character design of an old sailor I've done months ago and I started to make him in 3D in a more realistic way than my other project. I was clearly inspire by Bad Travelling from Love Death and Robot for the 3D Style

Here's the project I submitted to the Rookies x Adobe Substance 3D Challenge where I had to create a lovable robot. I tried to create the robot as if he could be in a real animated movie.

Story : 

Robots can now have feelings like humans with a new heart, so what can happen to a robot who start to discover emotions and feelings

Here's a work in progress project, I'm trying to do a Stylized Knight Girl and I wanted to show you my modeling work on this character
