My work on Karnak and DATA
Karnak and DATA are the two main projects of my final year at New3dge.
On the project Karnak, I made the Sister Of Dust. I also rigged, integrated and applied physics on all characters and their props. I also set up all characters sound effects and voices.
The sister of Dust is a Lieutenant in the Forsaken King's army. Fierce and smart, she once rode giant sand worms to protect the Temple of Karnak.
This character is modelised on Zbrush and 3dsmax, the cloth are based on Marvalous Designer simulations. UVs are unfold in RizomUV, and textures are made on Substance Designer and Subsantce Painter.
The base rig and animations are taken from mixamo, and modified on 3dsmax.
The game turns on Unreal Engine 5.

Several characters in the project Karnak are skeletons.
In order to save some time, we decided to use a skeleton base mesh by Raphael Grassetti. I retopologised it and unfold the UVs before giving the mesh to my coworkers. This way, all the skeleton mobs and the skeletons in the environment use the same texture set.
Here are the skeletons and an animation example to show the skinning and the physic simulation in Unreal Engine 5.
On the project DATA, I made the player Character Frank, and the tech chara, the tech gameplay and the UI.
DATA is a contemplative 3rd person game. It was the first project of this year of master. Completed in 4 months, it presents the story of Frank, a nomadic robot discovering buried ruins on a desolate Earth.
