This post contains a description of my creative process throughout design and development for an Action and Adventure game as part of my Year 2 Final Project at The One Academy.
The Idea: The game is based during the golden age of exploration, centered around an old and retired adventurer who receives an invitation to go on one final grand adventure that he cannot deny. The level that I've designed is the study room of the adventurer. Within the room there are various artifacts that the adventurer has collected throughout his lifetime.
All the modelling was done in Blender, I took inspiration from Victorian Furniture design to model some of the ornamentation
After assigning the materials and UV Unwrapping, I exported my FBX file into Substance Painter to paint and texture the models.
Pre-texturing vs Post-texturing phase, the textures have been exported from Substance Painter and prepared for import to Unity3D.
