Coco's 3D Journey
Hello, my name is Raul but everyone calls me Coco. I am a Photographer and this is my 8th month studying Architectural Visualization and has been amazing! I hope you enjoy my renders the same way I enjoyed creating them!
My 3D journey
Welcome to my personal portfolio. This is a very special portfolio created by my very first renders ever while studying in School-ing.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I did while creating them!
First year into 3D
Hello, my name is Raul but everyone calls me Coco. This is my first year studying architectural visualization.
As a photographer and architecture lover I have been always curious about creating realistic images from scratch in 3D. This year has been amazing and did things I could have never imagined. I am amazed with 3D and can not wait to start this new journey in the Architectural visualization industry!
My first 3D project ever.
Culvert Guesthouse By Nendo
(Miyota-machi, Nagano, Japan)
This was my very first ArchViz project and my very firsts renders as well. Also, I got to know how Forest pro works.
First furniture model.
Pantonova Chair By Verner Panton
For the second project we had to model a furniture. I chose this chair from my favorite designer Verner Panton.
I chose this chair since I was gonna use it for a project in the future.
One of the major challenges here was illuminating as the material is metallic and had a lot of reflexions.
Ryokan The Layer.
(Ito, Shizuoka, Japan)
For the third project I had to choose an interior. I quickly thought about my firend's Ryokan in Ito, Shizuoka.
I was living in Japan for 3 years before starting studying ArchViz and wanted to make a tribute to Japan with my third project.
The images are subly hiding personal messages from me to Japan.
For this project the major challenge was to model and texture the Japanese tatami floor. Also working with wood materials was a challenge I had to face for the first time.
Verna Restaurant, Arhus DK decorated by Verner Panton
(Denmark, year 1971)
For my 4th project I had to choose a retail.
As Verner Panton is my favorite designer I wanted to chose a space he designed for this project.
Verna Restaurant located in Denmark in 1971 is a restaurant he designed and no longer exists.
The major challenge here was to interpretate the space as I just had one hand made blueprint of the space and some analogic photographies as a reference.
The 5th project.
Matte painting for the first time.
I was randomly assigned with a building wich I was allowed to modify and I had to incorporate it somewhere in Madrid city.
It also was my first time mixing 3D and Photography.
As a photographer I really enjoyed this project which allowed me to mix my skills as a photographer and photoshop with 3D.
Photographies are also taken by me.
Project number 6 and last one.
Yayoi Kusama Art Installation
For this project our teacher gave us a modeled building and we had the freedom to create two images with it. The building was the V&A Dundee museum by Kengo Kuma.
As it was a museum I quickly thought about making an art installation and Yayoi Kusama came to mind.
She is one of my favorite artists. I used to live next to her museum in Shinjuku, Tokyo and used to vistit it often and I got inspired by her.
It was so fun creating the patterns and playing with color. Also interesting composing using a lot of mirrors.
I hope you enjoyed my projects the same way I enjoyed creating them.
This journey has been amazing and can not wait to keep creating images and learning!
See you around!
