AoE 001 Collection

In my project, I decided to delve into the way fashion is present in video games, specifically in one of the most popular video games- World of Warcraft. The game revolves around war, depicts an extraordinarily fantastic world, and expresses conflicts in human reality in an escapist manner.

As part of my final project in my bachelors degree studies in Shenkar College, I’ve selected key characters in the game, defined their needs and explored their cultures to create desirable and fashionable alternatives to the currently available outfits in WoW. My collection offers wearable fashion for six characters in WoW, three of which are showcased here. This drop is part of the first collection of the brand I created- AoE.

Area of Effect is a dynamic and tech-driven Skinwear brand, forever in the process of crafting the most desirable digital digital fashion. We seek for the most current and sophisticated design for every MOD, and thoroughly work to create it, every time. At AoE we wish to empower the relationship between gamers to their digital identities.

In my design process I've drawn inspiration from the atmosphere in the game, as well as from apocalyptic art by Johfra Bosschar, Pieter Bruegel and Hieronymus Bosch. I also looked for historical references in the characters' original style in the game.
