This overview shows my favorite concept art projects I worked on in the first year at Howest DAE in the Game Graphics Production major. From the first weeks on of my studies I could see a fast progression in my skills and I am looking forward to see what next year brings. The tower was definitely my favorite project.

My first ever concept art project was to design a Bulgarian village diorama. The requirements were to have a small property with three buildings following the given architecture style and a clear indication of a chosen profession, which for me was carpentry. Besides the value paint over in photoshop everything was done traditionally. The final was on A3 paper.

In the "SKYWARS" project we explored spaceship designs that would fit into a world, where the main source of power is a contained gas, which is pumped into balloons to make ships and structures float. The design should also contain elements like a cockpit, propellers and some sort of rudders. In the horizontal stage I tried out different techniques with traditional media aswell as digital.

"The Tower" is my most recent project. I started off with exploring different tower designs in my sketchbook and went on with implementing those into composition thumbnails. My goal was to create a environment with a medieval tower high up in the mountains, that functions as military outpost and guards the border of the realm.
