Doctor Who Epidemic - Title Sequence

I was honored to be invited to create this epic and cinematic title sequence for an upcoming Doctor Who fan series. I spent months of work on this aiming to create the most impressive visuals: large 3D scenes, breathtaking animations, sound design, FLIP, particle and pyro simulation, while making maintaining the "green epidemic look" I wanted to achieve.

Months ago I received an interesting email from Miles asking me to create a title sequence for his upcoming Doctor Who fan series. In the email, he told me some details about the fan series and some elements which would be interesting to implement, like Stonehenge, the Tower of Pisa, the biohazard sign, and the aurora borealis. I was ambitious. Since then I had been busy building up a concept, assembling all these elements into it while making it epic and confident to the "green epidemic look" I wanted to achieve.

I spent months trying to create the most impressive visuals: large 3D scenes, breathtaking animations, sound design, FLIP, particle and pyro simulation. For this, Houdini was helpful for me to create some procedural rocks (those ones you can see scattered at the ocean at the beginning), and also to create a smoke simulation and the water FX of the TARDIS coming out of the water. I assembled it all in Cinema 4D, where the project was mostly done. Then I rendered it in Redshift and the compositing was done in After Effects.

And to complete this cinematic experience, SalemSound created an epic sound theme for this opening. I really want to say thanks to SalemSound who had been working on it for around 2 months. He himself offered to create this absolutely amazing theme for the intro!! Thank you so much, Devon!
