My Journey
After working as a design architect for almost 7 years I realised my real calling lies in visualization and creating worlds out of imagination. Coming from India I never knew one can make a career out of this. So, in August of 2022, I decided to join Masterclass in Archviz at the State of Art Academy, Italy.
REMINISCENT OF SUMMER
The image is the outcome of my month-long Masterclass in Archviz from State of Art Academy, Italy. As a part of my final assignment, I had to recreate the photograph of House in Cascais by Openbook Architecture and shot by Fernando Guerra.
The creation process of this image involved the use of 3DSmax, Corona Renderer, Quixel Megascans, Adobe Substance Designer, and Photoshop.
The process leading up to the final image post-produced using Photoshop.
For my second image, I had the freedom to choose my choice of camera angle, lighting, and atmosphere. In order to make me reach my intended vision our initial image plans came very handy
I took this opportunity to explore the possibilities of volumetric fog, Dof, creating realistic vegetation using Forestpack.
WINTER MORNING
A foggy, chilly winter morning when the world is still asleep in its cosy warm beds and you step out in your garden with a hot cup of tea.
PURPLE HAZE
An image recreation of a photograph of a winery by Belém Lima architects and shot by Fernando Guerra. It was a great exercise practising all the new learning I received at my masterclass. It was also time for me to learn more about creating dynamic lighting using Corona Sun and Glass material.
Raw render to the final image.
AUTUMN SONATA
Time for an original camera setting. It was a challenging task to create ceramic tiles for the facade while giving a convincing variation which allowed me to put my Railclone skill to use. The architecture is by Toprojekt.
as there was no reference for this project, it became more challenging but also gave me the artistic freedom of exploring more options.
FOREST LIFE
Since my masterclass, I have constantly been searching for inspiration from photography while challenging myself to push my skill to get as close as possible to the reference image while adding my touch to it. One such task I gave myself was to recreate this project image from PKdM architects photographed by Rafael Pinho.
stepping up the material creation.
recording each small step at the creation helps me to see the progress at my skills.
TRACES OF WINTER
A step towards exploring more Railclone and modelling possibilities. By this time I also started doing photography for my references. The visualization is based on a shot by Anne Bråtveit of a project by Rintala Eggertsson Architects.
Having a passion for creating architectural visualization I don't want to keep myself limited to that. Being a cinephile and a big fan of movies by Stanley Kubrick, Andrei Tarkovsky, and George Lucas I also want to create an atmosphere, environment and world which exists in my imagination through my skills and art.
MYSTERY OF PETRA
My latest image was an attempt at matte painting one of my old sketches. It was a step towards something I have never done before but would want to pursue and explore more.
A journey towards something special and fantastic...
