Max (character design)
For our last 3rd year solo project, we had to make a 3D character of our choice. I made a digital 2D concept of a young fighter with a monstrous arm. This project aims to work on the transition from a 2D Concept to 3D. #ESMA
For our last 3rd year solo project I chose to conceptualize a young adolescent brawler who would have a monstrous hand, his name is Max. I chose to portray him in a basement covered in blood; smoking and resting after a fight.
Here is the final result.
As for the process, I started by modeling the base on Maya, then I deepened this base on Zbrush, after that I retopologized on Maya, I then went back on Zbrush to make a sculpt map, and finally I textured it in Substance Painter.
Once the character textured and shaded in maya, I proceeded to the setdress with Megascan assets that I customized on Substance Painter. I finally did the lighting with Renderman and the post-processing on Nuke.
