Monsters 

This was for a prompt that gave us free reign to create whatever creature we wanted. My overall idea was to design a predator that looked just absolutely gnarly, so I focused on sharp angles and long spines to give its silhouette an eerie read. 

I wanted to put a twist on a classic wyvern concept so another set of eyes, a scorpion like stinger on the tail, and gill like features were added to give a more alien profile 

Aiming to experiment with my 3D skills, as well as my paint over and texturing abilities, this is a personal project of an idea for an “alien dino” wildlife species 

I had fun researching and exploring different head options but ultimately horns were chosen in the final concept because I felt it better balanced the creatures overall form and weight

Mechas

First entry for a personal IP, this concept was mainly for fun and to exercise and expand my shapes and line work

Civilian Mode, Civilian Mode: crown up alternate, Combat Mode: crown up, one energy blade active, jet wings engaged 

For this piece I mostly studied form and function. My goal was to make believable mechanisms, along with developing my line work

As a cross between medic and soldier, I started to work with a strong silhouette and round soft forms on his design. I then added a holographic face so he could quickly emote and swap between intimidating and friendly, and the extra set of arms are mainly to assist in surgery or repair.

I learned something new and expanded my library of skills with each piece and that’s what I love about this field ! I wanted to thank Humza Khan, Nikita Heyland, Maxine Schnepf, and Nicklas Byriel.
