About 1 year ago, I had a video with 3D backgrounds and visuals effects. Among the 3D backgrounds, there is a mountainous landscape that I found very amazing. In order to deepen the concept, I create a remastered version for this contest. I let you discover my project, have a good look !
I can show you the difference beetwin the two versions of the same scene. I did news materials for mountains and the lake. Also, for the 2nde version, I redid the final compositing(foreground+clouds+sun).
In order to apply a rocky effect, I used the bump of the texturing in addition to the sculpting
Eventually I managed to get an amazing animated film look, I think it is thanks tot the sunrise.
