Dior's Bobby Bag
Hello everyone! This is my first project in Maya and Substance Painter, made for the photorealism module with Skyup Academy. The task that was assigned to me was to recreate the composition featured on the cover of Vogue magazine, portraying Dior's Bobby bag .
Hello everyone! This is my first project in Maya and Substance Painter, made for the photorealism module with Skyup Academy. The task that was assigned to me was to recreate the composition featured on the cover of Vogue magazine, portraying Dior's Bobby bag (reference below). It was modelled in Maya, textured in Substance painter, and finally rendered with V-ray.
After receiving the task, my first step was to look for various references and create a blackboard with all the images obtained. At this stage I also researched the various cameras used for product photography.
The following images are the different stages of the modelling, starting from a simple blocking to an advanced modelling.
At this point, I was able to proceed with texturing. I tried to best recreate the details of the jar and the folds of the skin.
Finally, I imported my textures in Maya and proceeded with the creation of the lights set.
The last step was the post production in Photoshop.
