Hi, my name is Polina. I graduated from CG Spectrum college in the concept art course this year. Here's a compilation of my school and personal work, mostly character art. Hope you enjoy!

Round of applause for our sponsors

Cyberpunk Alice. Character design.

In this project I wanted to create a female character with cyborg features in the style of Cyberpunk. I named her Alice and assigned her to a gang called The Doom.

Alice is a cyborg crippled by the Last great war where she lost her vocal cords and her parents. Now she has no one except for her gang and she has no choice but to take revenge at those who were responsible for her misery.

I do not own the photos shown as references in any of the projects below.

Knight Armour Designs for a historical fantasy game

The Inventor. Character Design

This character was created as a test task for a gaming company. He had to fit the era of America at the end of the 19th century.

Toadbuzz. Creature design.

This project was a task at CG Spectrum college, I had to come up with a design for a creature that could fit into a certain universe/book/movie. As a huge fan, I chose Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts aesthetic as a starting point.

My creature is called Toadbuzz, it's a herbivore the size of a small dog that roams the gardens of witches and wizards harmlessly , occasionally squealing or grunting in delight when it encounters another member of its species. They can both walk on their short limbs and fly not very high above the ground using their "dragonfly" wings, growing from behind the ears.

The Alien. Creature design.

This was another project at CG Spectrum where we used ZBrush to design an alien.

I wanted to design a creature that could fit a world which is sort of a mix of Avatar and The Hunger Games. While sketching and searching for ideas, I experimented with mixing different animals/incects/humanoid shapes and when I was happy with the thumb I used ZBrush to sculpt the creature, and then painted over it in Photoshop.

Station F1H:DES5. Environment art.

This is another school work from CG Spectrum, the assignment was to incorporate Blender into our environment art workflow.

I thought of a postapocalyptic world when Earth has long been almost completely abandoned by humankind, and people now live on autonomous massive space stations, scattered across the galaxy in an endless search for a new home.

I made several thumbnails for this world and decided to start with the station, blocked it out in Blender and finalised in Photoshop.

Other work

Here're a couple more character concepts done for CGS assignments.

I designed a villain for the universe of The Hunger Games . He could have been a manager like Seneca Crane, ranked higher than usual Game workers, wealthy, dangerous, possibly collecting «trophies» - attributes of dead contestants. He is in charge of creating cruel ways of death on the arena and traps - sort of  a head of a «torture department». He is also stylish and eccentric enough to be associated with Capitol fashion.

The second concept of a witch was inspired by The Witcher Universe. I thought of her as a minor character who plays a small role in the side quest.

I would like to thank my incredible mentor Humza Khan and the entire CG Spectrum college team for the great time I had there.

Thank you for watching!
