University Games Art Portfolio
Hi! I'm Ollie, a final year university student studying Game Art and Design. These are some of the projects I've worked on over the past year.
My final year submission, Project Egress, focused on the concepts of two contrasting worlds connected by a portal. Everything except the lush foliage (Quixel) was hand modelled, sculpted, and textured by me over a course of 3 months.
Software used includes Unreal Engine 5, Blender, World Machine, Substance Designer, and Substance Painter.
This was a 2 week project heavily inspired by Dark Souls - I wanted to give the genre a twist with the more stylized approach. Composition was a key focus on this one.
During my university course, we had an external art brief from Atomhawk focused on creating a realistic mech part grounded in reality.
Finally, a Global Games Jam entry focused on the "Roots" theme in which I modelled and animated a tree - made using TreeIt, Photoshop, and Unreal Engine 5.
