| Mathias Bosc 3D Environment Art and Props collection |
The three most recent projects of my portfolio, completed since the end of year 2022. I'm looking for 3D Artist position. I would like to specialise in 3D Environment and Props modelling. I vary between realistic and stylized depending on my projects.
Nagant M1895 Set
This is the most recent project of the list, for this, i've decided to realize a Weapon of a a game I like, Hunt showdown.
The weapon set, almost entirely on 3dsmax to increase my level on hard surface objects.(Except for the wooden part of the carbine, the details were first sculpted on Zbrush)
This project is based on the work of Alexander Asmus, Lead 3D Artist at Crytek.
Nagant Officer M1895
Initially, I had planned to do only the pistol, but as time went on I decided to do most of the series, except for the variant with a silencer due to lack of time.
For the gun, my production process was:
-Begin with a speed Blocking of the object with a model in the background
-Then, a more detailled model that will serve as the basis for the following
-The most detalled object possible for the High Poly
- An optimised version for the Low Poly
-The baking and texturing with Susbtance Painter
-The render in Marmoset
Nagant M1895 Officer LP : 8474 Tri's / 4798 Polys
Nagant M1895 Officer LP + 7 bullets : 12198 Tri's / 6856 Polys
Nagant Officer 1895 Brawler
Nagant M1895 Officer Brawler LP : 12 380 Tri's / 6868 Polys
Nagant M1895 Officer Brawler LP + 7 bullets : 16104 Tri's / 8926 Polys
Nagant M1895 Precision
Nagant M1895 Precision LP : 13963 Tri's / 7869 Polys
Nagant M1895 Precision LP + 7 bullets : 17 687 Tri's / 9827 Polys
Nagant M1895 Officer Carbine
Nagant 1895 Officer Carbine LP : 20523 Tri's / 11355 Polys
Nagant 1895 Officer Carbine LP + 7 bullets : 24247 Tri's / 13413 Polys
The Nagant revolver is composed of two 4096x4096 texture maps, one for the barrel and the other for the receiver. The other variants in one 4096x4096 texture map.
Textures made on Substance Painter and the different renderings on Marmoset.
Stylized Fisher House
My first project on a stylized environment, I've done this just after my graduation in october 2022.
It was a good way to get started with the Unreal Engine.
Based on the concept art of Etienne Beylot

Stylized Materials
My first materials made with Substance Designer.
I had started them during my previous stylized FisherHouse project.
To get started with the software, I was inspired and influenced by Kalyson’s tutorial/timelapse on Youtube.
I tried as much as possible to modify the materials once the tutorial was reproduced, to allow me to fully understand the different blueprints.
