My first year
Hi! My name is Fanny Lindersson and I am a first year student at Yrgo in Gothenburg, Sweden. Creativity has always been a big part of me in one way or another, so when I found archviz I knew that I had found what I wanted to do. Here are some of the projects I have produced during this year at Yrgo.
Summary
This is an overview of some of the projects I have completed this year while studying Architecture Visualization at Yrgo in Gothenburg. Prior to embarking on this archviz journey at Yrgo, I had no previous experience with computers or the archviz industry. Now, it feels like such an integral part of my life. I am exited to showcase my progress by guiding you through the projects I have completed so far. I am also thrilled to continue my learning journey, as I strive to acquire new knowledge every day.
Urban architecture
This project was done together with Pixelflakes where we got to work with a real previous project of theirs, located in Huddersfield in the UK. For this project called Kirklees culture heart we got to take part of all the materials provided by the client. This included Revit models and documents with information such as materials, landscape and concepts for the different buildings.
The reason behind the project was to give Huddersfield new life and draw more people into the city. I choose to focus on the food hall and the big square in front of it. The big square area gave me the opportunity to practice my skills in Photoshop and put a lot of thinking into a concept that would make the square feel alive. My idea was to create a food market in front of the food hall with food trucks, bringing people together trying lovely food on a late summer evening.

The Villa
The brief of the project was to create an attractive and accurate image based on CAD-drawings from Alingsås Huspaket. The villa needed to be placed somewhere in Scandinavia, but we were given some artistic freedom in our choices of materials and light. The whole villa had to be modelled by us students and use V-ray as render. In the beginning of the project we had a meeting with an architect, to illustrate how the cooperation between the visualizer and the architect can be in real work situations.
I chose to be inspired by a couple´s house at Ingarö, in the Stockholm archipelago. This was my first time doing an exterior image and using V-ray, forest pack and rail clone. As I finished the project a bit earlier than the deadline I took the opportunity to do a night version since that is something I had not done before.

The hotel
The hospitality industry is a large service industry that includes various different categories. It includes the hotel industry where people from all over the world meet for different reasons and with different expectations.
This project was done in groups of three which is an important part of the 3D/architecture industry, to be able to work in groups and cooperate. Every group was given a country or city, ours was Tlaquepaque in Mexico. We began with researching the city and Mexican culture to make sure we were respectful when creating a concept for the hotel. When we had a clear picture of what we wanted we started the 3D process.
My focus for the project was the rooftop bar.

The chair
Chairs come in different kinds of shapes, materials and colors. They all have their different purposes but are almost always used everyday. Building one can be more complicated than we might think.
The brief of the project was to model and texture a chair of our choice from scratch, only using pictures as reference. Analyze the chair and create a concept and studio image. The chair of my choice for the project is Jens armchair in wood and leather, designed by Antonio Citterio. Citterio found his inspiration from in the 50s and the Chinese aesthetic when he designed the Jens-series. The Jens armchair comes in many different kinds of oak, color on leather and combinations.

The renovation object
The brief of the project was to find a building in need of a renovation. Then use floorplans and photos from the ad to vizualize the house´s potential using our own creativity. The goal was to furnish the home and select appropriate materials with the pre-existing architecture with a certain target group in mind.
I chose "in the middle of the carrier without children" as my target group, and I wanted the feeling to be modern and well thought through. Meanwhile preserving the beautiful existing elements in the object such as doors and windows.

Matte painting
This is a project done in photoshop. The goal with this project was to visulize an idea with only the base made in 3D and focus on artistic values and realism. We started with coming up with different drafts for the composition, mood and colors. We than created a simple 3D base and completed the project by finding and matching different photos. I then created a breakdown od the process.
This was a fun and different project wich showed another way to use Photoshop. I learned alot and are excited to continue exploring with this method.
Project length: 4 days I Software used: Photoshop 3ds MAX for reference
