Davide Canaletti: First zero to hero projects!
2 projects realized at skyup accademy. the first is a project worked in maya to achieve photorealism. the second is a sculpture worked entirely on zbrush.
This is my personal zero to hero project at skyup academy.
All processed with : autodesk maya, substance painter and redirected to v-ray on maya.

these are the references I used for all the work.
After understanding the volumes and setting the camera, I moved on to the blocking phase.
After doing a satisfactory blocking, I switched to the uv on maya with three different materials.
After correcting the uv, i exported all the file to import it on substance.
The texturing phase was the most difficult and the longest phase. In the various phases of the work I returned to substance over and over again to make adjustments, especially for the table.

MAIN REFERENCE
I had to look for many references to understand the main volumes, the biggest difficulty is turning a stylized reference into a sculpture.
Understood the volumes, I used the zsfere to reach the desired volumes
After several changes, I started an advanced blocking following the main reference , and went to sculpt using alpha and brushes a more specific.
Reached the satisfactory detail, the mesh was decimated and positioned with the help of the masks in the same position of the reference.
exported all in maya to be reinderized with v-ray. after various tests of lights and shots are very happy with the result achieved.
